Inmotion P6 – Seat Upgrade
The Inmotion P6 is capable of 0-30 mph (0-50 km/h) in 1.9 seconds. On an EUC that acceleration comes from you leaning into the wheel and the wheel tilting forward under you; braking is the same in reverse. Seated, every one of those tilts is trying to move you on the seat – back off it under acceleration, forward into the trolley handle under braking. A seat that lets you slide even a little in either direction is a control problem, not a comfort problem.
So grip and shape came first. Comfort followed. A soft, foam-like polyurethane cushion with a textured grip surface that holds you in place, on a shape we settled on after riding more than 20 variants. It mounts to the stock trolley handle, flips up with it, and stays out of the way of everything else on the wheel.
Ergonomics Tested, Not Guessed
Seat height and top profile decide everything about seated riding: how far you can lean from the hips, how much pressure you can put through your toes and heels, how easy it is to stand back up. Lower is better on a fast wheel – less of you in the airflow, less drag at speed, and a center of gravity closer to the axle for more control. We rode more than 20 variants of height, profile, width and edge radius before settling on this one. It adds just 1.5-1.8 in (37-45 mm) above the stock trolley handle – 2.3 in (57.5 mm) of seat in total, with the base sculpted to sit on the handle – low enough to tuck in, high enough to keep your legs engaged and your knees out of a cramp on long seated stretches, with a profile that doesn’t dig into your thighs in turns.
Built for Hard Leans in Both Directions
The top of the seat is a textured, high-grip surface. Lean into a launch and you stay coupled to the wheel, lean back to brake hard and you stay centered instead of sliding into the handle. Carving at speed, the same grip keeps your weight where you put it – so the small, precise inputs seated riding demands go into the wheel, not into holding yourself on.
Cushion – Soft, Grippy, Foam-Like
This is not the elastopolymer we use for bumpers. The seat is a much softer polyurethane, made to a foam-like density – it compresses under you and takes the sting out of road vibration. What you don’t get is the slick, shiny skin of a typical molded-foam seat: the surface is textured and grippy. Cushions like foam, holds like rubber.
Mounted to the Trolley Handle, Moves With It
The seat wraps the stock P6 trolley handle and is secured with zip ties – a solid, rattle-free connection that holds up, installed in minutes. The handle stays locked down while you ride, exactly as it does without a seat. A cut-out in the front center keeps the fold-release switch accessible, and a cut-out in the bottom leaves the handle exposed where your hand goes: press the release, flip the trolley up, and the seat comes with it. Walk the P6 through pedestrian zones, stairs, shops or a train platform; flip it back down and ride. Nothing to remove, nothing to re-attach.
